Once upon a time
In a land far, far away
I had a glass house
And no one would stay
And no one came in
And no one went out
And no one saw the girl
Inside the glass house
No shadows in the corner
No tear stains, no strife
No girl in the glass house
No depth to their sight
She was lonely and mad
In her land far away
And didn’t know why
No one would stay
They retreated, they hid
Dare no one to near
Dare no one to enter
Dare no one to care
Then the girl in the glass house
Could finally see
The impress on others
Was bound just by she
She, too, had these flaws,
These struggles, these sins
And to create a populace,
She should be therein
And the girl’s glass house
Wasn’t glass after all,
But a house of smoke and mirrors,
Created to fall
In a land far, far away
I had a glass house
And no one would stay
And no one came in
And no one went out
And no one saw the girl
Inside the glass house
No shadows in the corner
No tear stains, no strife
No girl in the glass house
No depth to their sight
She was lonely and mad
In her land far away
And didn’t know why
No one would stay
They retreated, they hid
Dare no one to near
Dare no one to enter
Dare no one to care
Then the girl in the glass house
Could finally see
The impress on others
Was bound just by she
She, too, had these flaws,
These struggles, these sins
And to create a populace,
She should be therein
And the girl’s glass house
Wasn’t glass after all,
But a house of smoke and mirrors,
Created to fall
